NorCal Juniors teams are designed to give young girls an opportunity to get introduced to club volleyball at a young age, for a lower price, and have a shorter season. These teams are strictly for player development and for that reason, modified rules are used at tournaments and playing time is not decided based on performance. The skill development of each player at a young age, in a low intensity environment, is the ultimate goal of these teams.
2025 NorCal Juniors teams will be for 3rd graders – 6th graders. Practices will run January-April and there will be 4 tournaments with a Juniors Day celebration at the end of the season on April 26.
Although there is no tryout, all players who sign up to play’ must attend a mandatory evaluation day on Monday, 11/18 (3rd & 4th graders) or Wednesday, 11/20 (5th & 6th graders). We will be building teams based on age and skill level this year. We anticipate having 8-10 teams for the 2025 season.
*We expect our Juniors program to fill up quickly so please be sure to add yourself to the waitlist if it says sold out. We typically pull numerous kids off of the waitlist to form as many teams as we can. We will be in touch with those on the waitlist prior to the Clothing and Eval day to confirm if there are any available spots.
Our NorCal Juniors Training Season cost is $1,680. When you register, you will pay 50% of the fees ($840) with the remaining balance due in two increments of $420 on Jan.15 and Feb.15.
Each NorCal Juniors team will practice once a week either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday from 4:15-5:45pm at the NorCal Facility.
New this year, we are trying to schedule one grade per day. Please see the practice schedule below.
Day | Time | Age Group |
---|---|---|
Mondays | 4:15-5:45 | 5th grade teams practice |
Tuesdays | 4:15-5:45 | 6th grade teams practice |
Wednesdays | 4:15-5:45 | 4th grade teams practice |
Thursdays | 4:15-5:45 | 3rd grade teams practice |
Please keep these practice days in mind when registering. If your daughter absolutely cannot make her grade’s dedicated day, she can sign up to come to the eval for the grade above or below hers and the coaching staff will decide if making an exception is in the best interest of the athlete and team. If it is not in the best interest of either party, all fees will be refunded. Please note, this request must be made during the registration process.
NorCal Juniors season is a WCVBA sponsored event. Tournament dates are below and locations will be announced soon.
